Mr. Gasket was formed by Joseph F. Hrudka who recognized the need for high performance exhaust gaskets. Using his own race car as a test vehicle, he and his brother Tom developed a line of gaskets that proved to withstand the high temperatures and stresses present in the ever-growing sport of drag racing.

Mr. Gasket throughout the years has acquired many powerful brands to form the Mr. Gasket Performance Group. Today the Mr. Gasket Performance Group is the Prestolite Performance Group and is as dedicated as ever to the development of innovative performance products.
