Mr. Gasket Knowledgebase Question:

I bought your model 12s electric fuel pump for this vehicle. all fuel pumps that i have had before were on-demand units, this one runs all the time. the vehicle is not on the road yet , the pump has about 30 mins idle time on it, but never shuts off as long as the ign is on. is it faulty, if not this would put a tremendous strain on the carb float . A.Reterink

You are Correct. Pump runs CONSTANTLY, you will need a Fuel Pressure Regulator to keep Pressure off floats...
